<p><strong>Workstation Support Analyst III</strong></p><p><strong>Location: Location: Jackson, MI (need to report to Jackson when needed, can be remote)</strong></p><p><strong> Work Arrangement: M - F 8 AM - 5 PM (typically no flexibility in the schedule as this is project-based work)</strong></p><p><strong>Contract: Initial contract till 02/2027 with strong likelihood of extension </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Local to Michigan Only.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Department:</strong></p><p>core team that handles corporate office receiving packaging requests</p><p>Team handles software distribution for consumers energy for Windows machines which handles CMS corporate office where they receive packaging requests.</p><p>Core Microsoft engineer team is taking ownership of their domain (QA, prod, and another they interact with), and while they do that, Jeff's teams responsible for packaging these applications and deploying to corporate laptops.</p><p>Corporate team is currently running a project that is running parallel with Jeff's core team that involves slowly migrating (in phases) the migration of their technology.</p><p>Jeff's project team is working with OT to migrate all their applications to a newer standard package and deploy them to function on the latest Windows 11 build. The list right now consists of 158 applications.</p><p>The operations technology (OT) department handles a lot of the team's generation stuff, day-to-day business tool for external customers. This team has their own domain.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>daily meetings to discuss projects</li><li>be able to speak up in meetings and share the challenges he/she is facing in that environment</li><li>Will work with a business partner to resolve any issues with the app owner or the vendor with them to test it and then deploy it out to the environment.</li><li>team is responsible for attending regular meetings working with the project team they're going to obtain the necessary questions about middleware</li><li>Working with PowerShell to diagnose and troubleshoot deployment when using the tool to deploy software</li><li>Coordinating with learners to deploy the software and receive the software that has already been deployed and get them to sign off on the UAT (User acceptance testing)</li><li>coordinate with business partners to deploy the software</li><li>work autonomously, can take initiative and start packaging with what is out there</li><li>some items are legacy and not designed to be deployed and must be able to recognize that</li><li>work with business partner to install instructions, address issues with app owner and vendor</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications & Skills</strong></p><p>SME SCCM (or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager)</p><p>needs to be able to communicate issues that need to be escalated</p><p>PowerShell - understands how to diagnose and troubleshoot deployment when using the tool to deploy software</p><p><br></p><p>Interview: panel</p><p>hypothetical and business-related questions - 'how would you respond to this type of situation?", etc.</p><p>engineer will get deep in weeds and ask technical questions</p>
