User Experience Specialist

<div class="trix-content"> <div> <strong>Summary</strong>: Leads the strategic design and execution of comprehensive user research programs to improve IRS taxpayer-facing digital services and applications.<br> <br><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong> </div><ul> <li>Develop and execute research plans for usability testing, taxpayer interviews, and longitudinal user studies. </li> <li>Synthesize findings into actionable insights and recommendations for IRS development teams. </li> <li>Establish and maintain research methodologies that comply with accessibility (Section 508) and privacy standards. </li> <li>Oversee research quality assurance and insight validation processes. </li> <li>Mentor junior researchers and moderators.</li> </ul><div><strong>Minimum Qualifications: </strong></div><ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, or related field. </li> <li>7+ years of UX research experience, with at least 4 years leading research programs. </li> <li>Extensive portfolio of moderated usability testing and interview projects. </li> <li>Experience with sensitive or government audiences preferred. </li> <li>Proficiency in research platforms (UserTesting, Qualtrics, Dovetail, etc.).</li> </ul> </div> <p>This is a remote position.</p>
