Together, we can shape the future of Aotearoa, ensuring a healthy environment, people, and communities.</span></p><p><span style="color:#060d87;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><strong>The role | Te mahi</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">The Department of Public Health as part of the Faculty of Medicine, Christchurch, seeks to appoint a skilled and versatile Teaching Fellow to support and teach primarily into the Survey Methods (PUBH723), as well as undertaking some course materials development.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">This role will work closely with course convenors and assisting in developing teaching materials, practical sessions and assessments.</span></p><p><span style="color:#060d87;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><strong>Skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">Key skills and experience expected in this role:</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Some teaching experience, with a desire to develop teaching and facilitate learning success.</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Experience with use of or demonstrated knowledge in social research methods, particularly surveys. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Experience with development of surveys using software such as Qualtrics or REDCap</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with students and staff from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds.</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Commitment to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and demonstrated understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and Pasifika values.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">Candidates who have several years teaching experience, and hold or working towards a PhD alongside knowledge of public health within the New Zealand context will be highly regarded.
