POSITION SUMMARY The Server Team Member is responsible for providing knowledgeable, prompt, friendly, and courteous service of food and beverages to our dining guests ensuring to exceed expectations. The position always mandates an upbeat and positive personality along with the ability to get along with all other Team Members. The applicant must also adhere to all company policies and work variable shifts as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1. Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and all Team Members.

  • Be able to use POS system to enter food and beverage orders into the system to ensure accurate preparation of product. When necessary be able to manually itemizes, totals, and presents check for payment to correct guests.
  • Maintains current and accurate information regarding menu items (i.e. menu, specials, and beverage.) 4. Knows and promotes current casino events and restaurant specials and can give guests directions to all casino areas.
  • To ensure proper set up and maintenance of service station, tables, and common areas though-out all dining rooms.
  • Cross train in the beverage and catering departments to be able to deliver quality customer service should you be needed in this department.
  • To ensure sufficient set ups for service station, including silverware, china, sugar, creamers, iced tea, coffee according to business needs.
  • Always follows the correct sequence of service.
  • Clears, cleans, resets, and maintains station during shift.
  • Assists other servers in giving the best possible service.
  • Performs opening and closing duties as per policies & procedures.
  • Thanks the guests and invites them back and wishes them luck.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma, HSED, or GED is required.

One (1) year of dining server experience; dining preferred.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Will be willing to train the right person.

Excellent customer service, communication, and math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).

Experience in a courteous and efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions, and complaints is preferred. OTHER REQUIREMENTS ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) Training is mandatory within first 30 days of employment.

Food Handler’s Card is mandatory within first 30 days of employment.

Must pass Title 31 within first 30 days of employment.

Must possess ability to interact with the public and fellow Team Members, demonstrating respect, and tact, courtesy.

An excellent appearance is required and must always be in proper uniform and always be friendly and courteous. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.

Must be detailed oriented.

Able to hear and speak effectively in a noisy environment.

Must be able to work various schedules, on an as-needed basis; as work schedules could vary and will involve day, evening, or nighttime hours during the week and/or on weekends.

Ability and willingness to attend additional training is required.

Must meet requirements to qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License. Must pass an extensive background check.

Must pass a pre-employment drug test PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, the Team Member must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Noise levels are moderate to loud. Climate is subject to change from hot to cold.
