hours</li></ul><p><br></p><p>💼 What You'll Do</p><p>As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will support the prior authorization process by reviewing pharmacy requests, applying established criteria, communicating with prescribers and healthcare professionals, and escalating complex cases to pharmacists.</p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Evaluate pharmacy prior authorization requests received from prescribers via telephone and/or fax using client-specific criteria.</li><li>Determine the appropriateness of prescribed medications based on established guidelines and communicate decisions to physicians, physician office staff, medical management teams, and pharmacists.</li><li>Research, resolve, and accurately document prior authorization outcomes in the pharmacy system.</li><li>Communicate applicable prior authorization criteria, pharmacy benefit coverage information, and formulary alternatives to physicians and other healthcare stakeholders.</li><li>Escalate requests to a pharmacist when extensive clinical review or a denial decision is required.</li><li>Research, resolve, and document physician, provider, client, and member inquiries and grievances.</li><li>Provide professional verbal and written responses to clients, prescribers, providers, and management.</li><li>Educate members regarding pharmacy-related rules, prescription processes, medication resources, and applicable assistance programs.</li><li>Maintain accurate records related to prior authorizations, rebates, and monthly reporting.</li><li>Follow established diploma or GED required.</li><li><strong>Active California State Pharmacy Technician License required.</strong></li><li><strong>Minimum 6 months of pharmacy dispensing or retail pharmacy experience</strong>, or equivalent internal training.</li><li>0–2 years of pharmacy experience.</li><li>Strong computer skills and proficiency with pharmacy-related computerized systems.</li><li>Proficiency with Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Ability to understand and follow established clinical criteria and instructions when processing prior authorization requests.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accuracy and
