Position Overview Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a Locum Obstetrician Gynecologist to provide hospital-based call coverage with a strong emphasis on Labor & Delivery. This opportunity offers consistent monthly coverage needs, strong clinical support, and an Epic EMR environment.

Coverage Details

• Coverage Need: 2 providers to support coverage at least once per month

• Dates of Coverage: March 13, 14, and 15, 2026

• Call Schedule: Two weekends per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

• Call Ratio: 1:4 (current)

• Practice Setting: Hospital call, 90% Labor & Delivery

• L&D / Postpartum / Triage: 34 beds

• Number of Physicians in Practice: 4

• APP Coverage: 1 APP per 12-hour shift

• Support Staff: L&D nurses and midwives

Required Obstetrics Procedures

• Low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management

• FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)

• OB ultrasound performance and interpretation

• Level I/screening ultrasounds (viability)

Labor & Delivery Required Procedures

• Routine vaginal delivery

• Low forceps delivery

• C-section decision-making and performance

• Management of complicated deliveries (breech, multiples, abruptions)

• VBACs

• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations

Gynecology Required Procedures

• Open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures
